Entryway fountain repairs
The Danbury Boulevard and Dalhousie Way entrance fountain basins needed to be repaired and recoated with an elastomeric coating to prevent leakage and further deterioration of the cement. The basins were repaired and prepped for recoating at the start of the summer. The plan was to apply the coating as soon as we had a window of several days without rain. Unfortunately, the record ongoing wet weather did not allow the coating to be safely applied until the end of August.
Given that we normally shut down and winterize the fountains in the first week of October, we have decided not to start them up this late in the year.
They will be started up in the spring.
